The Oppo A83’s highlights include the 18:9 display on the front, 13MP selfie camera backed by AI, and the price tag from Oppo. The handset offers a 5.7-inch display with a resolution of 720 x 1440 pixels. It is powered by the MediaTek MT6763T chipset, coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The storage can be expanded up to 128GB with a microSD card. Sadly, it’s a hybrid card slot setup, and not a dedicated microSD card setup.
A massive letdown of the Oppo A83 is the lack of fingerprint scanner. Yes, Oppo has followed Apple’s footsteps and ditched the fingerprint scanner, in favour of the much-hyped Face Unlock feature.
